Sweet Gravy

Sweet Gravy's out of Greenville, and they've already got their own way of describing it: Grateful Honky Tonk Outlaw Rock and Roll. Dead-inspired jams tangled up with country twang and a little bit of don't-give-a-damn. Exactly the kind of sound that sounds better live than it ever could on paper.

Falling Out

Falling Out's only been a band since 2024 but they've already found their own corner of alternative rock, punk and pop bleeding into each other at the edges. Tucker Lee sings and plays guitar, Paul Godfrey shreds lead, Monty Allender holds the bottom end down, Rocco Montgomery drives it from behind the kit. Cut their teeth at Downtown Alive, then put out three singles inside a year, Falling Slow, Right Back to Wrong, Craze. Still just getting started.

ANTIFACT

Antifact plays hardcore the way it's supposed to sound, filthy, low tuned, no stage required. Clemson kids running on Gulch and Dystopia. Two records deep, "A Loss of Innocence" is the latest, and they've spent that time stomping basements and dive bar back rooms across the Upstate. No polish. If your hardcore's gotta be ugly to be honest, this is the band.

The Indoor Kids

The Indoor Kids are a Greenville-based punk-influenced rock band, with a couple of releases on Bandcamp — the "First Day of Camp" EP and a singles collection. Loud, scrappy, and locally rooted.

The Schwa

Formed in 2018, The Schwa write guitar-driven, hook-heavy alt-pop that pulls from garage rock, blues, britpop, funk, and a little modern psychedelia without settling into any one of them. A steady name in the Greenville scene for years now, not a band still finding its footing.

Sidestep Dog

Sidestep Dog play emo and pop-punk with teeth — think Jimmy Eat World and Taking Back Sunday, but with horns and indie-leaning composition woven in rather than a straight throwback. A Radio Room regular with a steady release history, most recently 2025's "Best Behavior."

Razorgrave

Razorgrave has been a Greenville fixture since 2009, though not always under this name. The band rebranded from NeverFall in 2024 and has been releasing new thrash since, most recently 2025's "Blind Violence." Fast, relentless, and built for a mosh pit, a local write-up of a recent Radio Room set described exactly that kind of chaos breaking out.

Pull The Strings

Pull The Strings have historically leaned progressive and unorthodox, but their new album "Griefbloom" is a real departure, and a heavier one. Vocalist Alan Brucke trades old growls for a full throated scream, paired with lyrics rooted in guitarist Gabe's own experience losing loved ones to cancer and Alzheimer's. Not a comfortable listen, and not meant to be, this is a band sounding fully convinced of a new direction.

Sly Grave

Sly Grave is an all female alternative metal outfit out of Greenville, formerly known under a different name. New name, same lineup, still finding their footing under this identity, worth keeping an eye on as they settle into it.

Freak Activity

Freak Activity released "Monster Feelings," a ten track album, through Melted Mind Inc. in January 2026. Not much else public yet, worth a listen while we learn more

Blindstrike

Blindstrike are a grunge band from Greenville, and they are in the early, hungry part of it. Playing Swanson's Warehouse and the Radio Room, opening bills alongside bands like The Indoor Kids and Razorgrave. The name fits the music and the moment: a band that arrived without much warning and intends to make some noise about it. The Upstate grunge scene is not a crowded place, but can not wait to see what this band can bring to the scene

Brass Tongue

Brass Tongue formed in Greenville in early 2022, and their debut EP, "Dangerous World Demo," made them a name fast, a finalist for an Upstate Music Award before most people outside the scene had caught a show. They followed it up in 2024 with a second EP, "ONE STEP AWAY." Confident, tight, and clearly not interested in a slow build.

Reviler

Reviler crawled out of Greenville, South Carolina in late 2022 with nothing but a group chat, some scrapped demos, and an agreement that the music would be relentless or it would be nothing. They've been making good on that promise ever since — playing two-plus shows a month, booking their own tours from the Carolinas down to Jacksonville and all the way to Puerto Rico, pressing cassettes by hand, drawing their own logos.

WVRM

They call it "grinding self-hatred" and mean every word, WVRM are Greenville's working class made loud, four men on Prosthetic Records who sound like the city's prettified downtown skyline collapsing.
