Nicholls Basement is exactly what it sounds like, a house concert series out in Campobello, bring a comfy chair, food's provided, BYOB, BYOF, BYOC. No stage lights, no ticket booth, just a basement and a genuine love of songwriting. Don't let the size fool you on the bookings, though, it's pulled in real Americana road dogs like Justin Wells of Fifth on the Floor, Mic Harrison of The V-Roys and Superdrag, and Matt Woods, artists who tour alongside names like Jason Isbell and the Drive-By Truckers. This is about as intimate as live music gets, listening room energy in the truest sense of the phrase.
